Grace Hardy

Founder - Executive Director - Producer

Grace Hardy is a proud member of the Kikino Métis Settlement with a lifelong passion for artistic expression, cultural connection, and community-based work. Her journey began in the creative arts industry, where she studied makeup artistry at Vancouver’s Blanche MacDonald Centre. This foundation opened doors to diverse creative experiences across retail environments, music video sets, and wellness television, deepening her appreciation for storytelling through visual and artistic mediums.

Over time, Grace’s focus shifted toward community and cultural engagement, especially within Métis spaces. She worked with the Métis Nation of Alberta and later returned home to Kikino, where she began creating youth programming alongside neighbouring First Nations communities and helping to form a local non profit organization for youth programming in the community, spending over 6 years as the Executive Director. These experiences sparked her deep dedication to youth empowerment and cultural programming.

Most recently, Grace founded The White Poplar Project, a nonprofit organization rooted in Kikino Métis Settlement. The project is dedicated to empowering Métis youth through storytelling, acting, writing, and filmmaking, creating safe spaces for young people to build confidence, explore identity, and share their voices through creative expression.

Grace’s vision is to create inclusive, culturally grounded opportunities that inspire creativity, strengthen connections to community and culture, and uplift the next generation of Indigenous youth. With a strong foundation in the nonprofit sector and a passion for meaningful community impact, she continues to work alongside community to co-create safe, empowering spaces that honour both tradition, innovation and storytelling.
